Are you a female soldier or veteran? Did you perform Lioness duties in Iraq or Afghanistan? What has your experience been like coming home?
Or perhaps you provide healthcare or other support services for female soldiers or veterans - what's going on in your line of work?
And to all of you who have seen the film: Did it change your opinion? Did you learn something new?
If you are a woman veteran with combat experience that was not recorded on your DD214 and, as a consequence, are struggling to get VA benefits you deserve, then Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) wants to hear from you.
In addition to monitoring individual cases, Senator Murray has sent a formal letter to Defense Secretary Robert Gates and Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki asking them to address the lack of documentation of combat experiences by support troops. Please contact your Congressional representatives and let them know that you support this effort to ensure that when these troops become veterans, they are getting the care and benefits they need and deserve.
