Support The Women Veterans Health Care Improvement Act of 2009!
Introduced by Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) and Rep. Stephanie Herseth Sandlin (D-SD) this major, bi-partisan legislation (S. 597) aims to equip the VA for the growing influx of women veterans.
- The bill calls for:
- A study of barriers to women veterans seeking health care
- An assessment of women's health care programs
- Enhanced VA treatment for combat-related PTSD and military sexual trauma-related PTSD
- The establishment of a pilot program for child care services
Please contact your Senators and urge them to support S. 597 in the Senate.
